Terms and Conditions

1. Agreement to Terms

By engaging Align Plumbing Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") for any plumbing services, you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all services provided within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Ontario, Canada.

2. Services Provided

Align Plumbing Inc. provides residential and commercial plumbing services including but not limited to:

• Emergency plumbing repairs (24/7)
• Drain cleaning and hydro jetting
• Water heater installation and repair
• Sump pump installation and maintenance
• Backwater valve installation
• Camera inspection and leak detection
• Pipe repairs and replacements
• Commercial plumbing services

Exclusions: We do not provide gas leak emergency response, renovations involving construction work (tiling, framing, drywall), or services outside our licensed scope.

3. Licensing and Insurance

Align Plumbing Inc. is a fully licensed plumbing contractor operating in accordance with the Ontario Building Code and Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) regulations. We maintain:

• Valid Ontario plumbing license
• Comprehensive general liability insurance
• WSIB (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board) coverage

4. Estimates and Pricing

All estimates provided are based on the information available at the time of assessment. Final pricing may vary if:

• Additional work is discovered during the service
• Access to the work area is restricted or requires additional effort
• Emergency or after-hours rates apply
• Specialized equipment or materials are required

Written approval will be obtained before proceeding with any work that exceeds the original estimate by more than 10%.

5. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept:

• Cash
• Debit cards
• Major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
• E-transfer
• Financing options (subject to approval)

All prices are quoted in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to applicable HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) at 13%.

6. Warranty

Align Plumbing Inc. provides warranties on workmanship and parts as follows:

• Workmanship: 1-year warranty on all labour
• Parts: Manufacturer's warranty applies (typically 1-10 years depending on product)
• Water Heaters: Up to 10-year warranty on select units

Warranty is void if repairs or modifications are made by unauthorized parties, or if damage results from misuse, neglect, or acts of nature.

7. Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel scheduled appointments with at least 24 hours' notice without penalty. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a service call fee. Emergency service calls are non-cancellable once a technician has been dispatched.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Ontario law, Align Plumbing Inc.'s liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for:

• Pre-existing conditions or defects not caused by our work
• Damage caused by third parties
• Consequential or indirect damages
• Force majeure events

9. Property Access and Preparation

Customers agree to provide clear access to work areas and ensure the safety of pets and children during service. We are not responsible for damage to items left in work areas that were not cleared prior to service.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved through:

1. Direct negotiation between the parties
2. Mediation through a mutually agreed mediator
3. Binding arbitration under the Arbitration Act of Ontario

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
